What does feeling “empowered” mean to you? For the women we serve, it’s having a personal (and financial) sense of autonomy, self-confidence, and the power to control their private and public life.

Empowerment means choices, opportunities, and the freedom to act in your own best interest.

Many of our award recipients have overcome enormous obstacles including poverty, domestic violence, the death of a spouse and/or substance abuse.

We are dedicated to helping women and girls achieve social and economic empowerment through community-based programs such as Live Your Dream: Education & Training Awards for Women and Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls.

Live Your Dream: Education & Training Awards for Women

Through this program, we invest more than $2.1 million in education grants to 1,500 women every year. Over half of our recipients are survivors of sexual violence.
